Ana #2 - Ludwig Argüelles

My wife and her camera. Not a Contax G, but not a bad camera, either :). Oviedo, Spain, December 2002.

The sharpness, range and tones here are wonderful. Good portrait too. What kind of camera is that? Never heard of it.
Richard Sintchak 13-Apr-2003 at 13:24Great image, soon
"L" will be asking to use it for an advertisement. I hope that your wife likes it; some wives never do.

George took the words right out of my mouth...this could be an ad for XP2, the tones are so silvery smooth. Who needs a darkroom, anyway? :-)
Robert Mirani 13-Apr-2003 at 20:22Gorgeous image
and a beautiful wife, Ludwig you are a lucky man. Who needs color when you can get this kind of incredibly rich tones. I also really like your tasteful border and framing. I agree with George's comment too, "L" would love to have this image in one of their brochures.
Gregg Humphrey 13-Apr-2003 at 22:37Hi Richard, it's a Leica Minilux, featuring a Leitz Summarit 40mm f/2.4 lens. Basically it's a P&S camera but with very interesting features (automatic exposure, auto & manual focusing, iris setting and +-2 EV correction). In my experience, image quality is really close to the results obtained with a Summicron and don't look now, but sometimes my wife let me take some pictures with it! :)
Ludwig Argüelles 14-Apr-2003 at 05:56George, Robert, I will call "L" in order to make some bussiness. after all they charged me a lot of money for overhauling my "L" IIIf. Maybe it's time to equilibrate things!
Ludwig Argüelles 14-Apr-2003 at 05:58Arching . . .
The experts, said, " . . it all," Ludwig--that pretains to the technical aspects of this image. Myself, I'm enchanted by the overly arched brows--and glint of glee.
