Bored in Auckland - Andrew




My wife, bored after 3 days shopping in Auckland, before heading out to the countryside, which was outstanding

Good capture of boredom, I would almost say that this looks like a very sad image. The colors are a bit bland, and I think there is a faint cast that I cant put my finger on, but these are minor points. As a portait I really like it.

Good portrait

although less than inpsiring expression. I agree with Wilfred's comment, seems to be a slight green or blueish cast. Still a very nice photo, hope her mood improved in the NZ countryside.

The cast may have been casued by the artificial lighting of the food court we were in. How does one remove that using PS? And yes, we were all perked up by the countryside.

Andrew, to get rid of the cast, you may want to try Image -> Adjust -> Auto Color, (or Auto Levels). Alternatively you could select Image -> Adjust -> Levels (or Curves), select the grey eyedropper and click on a point in the image that should be neutral grey.
