wow
Very interesting and emotive. You really put the wide angle perspective of the 21 to good use. I'd be curious what this would have looked like in color too. Very deep etherial quality. Good work.

The influx of lower-cost 21mm's is really showing itself in the past few weeks -- and I'm all for it! Great use of the superwide as a portrait lens
Kevin Bjorke 06-Nov-2002 at 11:17Stunning. I like the way the monuments in the background go right off the highlight scale, making this image challenging, but rewarding, to look at. It's really alive.

Tyler, I suspected this was one of your images before the thumbnail rollover displayed your name. Even at the small size your compositional style comes through. At full size, this one really blooms.

Wow, this is really great! I rarely comment these days (months), since I'm short of time, but this image surely deserves it. Myrra.

What an amazing picture... still trying to decipher the guy's face. Nice work!
Adnan Abbas 07-Nov-2002 at 09:50Nice photo,

you nailed it. This is the way to use the 21mm to it's fullest advantage imo. I'm curious, did you just focus on the old gentleman, then re-composed and not worry about hyperfocal since you were at f/16?
Gregg Humphrey 07-Mar-2003 at 18:38Unconventional
and daring. I'm interested in how your subject reacted to you being so close and having to recompose, but this definitely shows the B21 in a new light. Well done on reaching the HoF with this.

Better late than never! Way to go Tyler, at last this fine image makes it to the HoF!
