Contrasty

Just for future reference, I think a reflector to bring a little light onto the left-hand side of his face (and, more importantly, to separate his face from the wall) would help here. Otherwise a super portrait; at least, if that's the image he wants to project.

Drama

I like t he drama of the dark side of his face. I realize that this is somewhat the fad, but still it appeals to me. It fits the expression of this portriat. Good job.

Reverse Shadow

On my monitor, there is a distracting reverse shadow effect, a lightened triange that appears on the left side of my screen (right side of the subject's face.) If this is what Glen suggests could be removed by the use of the reflector, I agree that whatever is needed should be used.
