Street scene in Amsterdam, May 2002. Cropped to letterbox shape in PaintShopPro. Again scanned on old works scanner, so poor resolution.

Nick
I like the idea, and the composition, I suggest you do this again and have all details well exposed, why do you say you scanned at a bad resolution, what scanner do you use ?

Nick, the scan though poor in qualty is rescued by the richness of the composition.

from what I can see. I hope a better scanner is in your future! I like the way you cropped this.

Scanner is a very old HP Scanjet II circa 1993ish I guess. This is in a dusty corner in work without a manual so I don't know how to get the best from it - but I suspect its best isn't that great either by today's standards. Its scanned from a standard 6x4 print and in the print it is sharp and better exposed. The main guy is on a mobile phone which is not discernable on the web. Thanks for the good words about the composition. Need to improve this scanning / buy one!!
