Funny

I posted a pic of rolls immediately after yours.. I've seen nr. 1, too, and probably like that one better than this, exactly beause there is no roll in the foreground. Still, this is a beautiful picture, and I'm a bit envious of that wonderful sky :)

Excellent DOF!

Do you remember what aperture you set your camera with? I thought I can see the individual straws from the forefront to the background! Excellent!

Painting...

Jan, this reminds me of a painting.... excellent exposure and composition. And that sky... it doesn't seem real. Nice job!

90??

Jan, I was looking at this again and I have to wonder if you really used the 90mm lens for this photo. I see vignetting, and the perspective seems more like a wide angle... 28? 21 even?

lens and apert.

Karl, you may be right, I tried several lensen for this shot and this may not be the 90. I will make notes next time to be more accurate about this, so I will be able to answer Lee Fong too. Thanks

crop?

You can try IMO to crop the ground, about 60% from yellow. For me it becomes more abstract, now it's only nice coloured hay with nice coloured sky.
