I posted a very simliar photo to this last autumn. This one is from that same day, actually about 20-30 seconds after. I mentioned recently that I've been going through some of my earlier G2 slide collection as I know I have some gems in there that I never got around to scanning. Now since I have a newer scanner and with Vuescan working so well for me lately I'm getting better results than I ever had before in digitizing my slides and negs.
This one is completely raw from the scanner except for sharpening and about a 10% crop off the top.
I'm not sure why I did not post this particular frame last fall instead of the other since this one seems a better shot to me. Oh well, I'm just happy I found it again.

Wow!
What a stunning landscape!
Jean Lee 19-Jul-2002 at 22:42Elegance. . .
Jean, you are so, right, this image has beautiful elegance.
Jerome Belthrop 20-Jul-2002 at 00:06Nice
It's a beautiful scene. I wish I could be next to your slide projector when this is on the screen. Is that a path next to the tree or is it so far away that it's really a two lane road?

I haven't time recently to visit Contax G pages but today. This is very impressive image. Really great! Myrra

... the other, similar image, and I like this one better. It's just a great landscape, with a feeling of "air" that's difficult to describe. Very nice.

eleven in all. Have to agree about the airiness of this. The link is off to my occassional photo appreciation group.

as the last one Rich. I think that the less you do in PS with greater clarity does the pic come over the screen. Exposure here is perfect. Small thing: I would like to see more of the road in the foreground to make the perspective and lines in the pic, even stronger.
Knut Skjærven 23-Jul-2002 at 08:55This is too much for the taking
Richard, have you seen any paintings by the Belgian artist (surrealist) Rene Magrette? The serenity in your skies and clouds reminds me so much of his paintings.
Raef Al Attar 23-Jul-2002 at 14:21what can I say...
This is a fine, beautiful landscape pic... It´s a "hang on the wall" pic...

that deep cobalt sky and clouds are just incredible. The lone tree anchors the expansive rolling hills. Exceptional!

the sky is almost unreal. A really nice picture
Jeff Taylor 07-Aug-2003 at 02:20The tree balances and looks impressionistic. A great photograph.

I love this image, but it's duplicated by the wining calendar photo.
Gregg Humphrey 27-Nov-2006 at 15:54-
Yeah, I know. For the calendar, if I remember correctly, you had to re-upload your images.
Richard Sintchak 27-Nov-2006 at 17:44Richard, Thanks for removing the duplicate image.
