Fantastic. I love the style of this photograph. A minimalist, modern, unique and very interesting approach. Just excellent.
Richard Sintchak 15-Jul-2002 at 21:08Linear . . .
Pedro, the linear lines and the angular people-- make for a scene that suggests great comic gestures.
Jerome Belthrop 16-Jul-2002 at 00:05excellent
shot. Think it needs an appropriate title. Jan
Jan Brouckaert 16-Jul-2002 at 02:33Original
I like this image: original contents, good execution, perfect timing.

Your images have the quality of classic leica photography. They demonstrate that "sharpness" is not the principal element of photographic aesthetics. You should have an exhibition if you haven't already, or put out a book of your pictures.
charles stewart 17-Jul-2002 at 08:08Title ...
I don't thik it needs one. Only thing that could be improved here is the size of the submitted image. 496x333 with a border is hardly more than a thumbnail.
Wilfred van der Vegte 17-Jul-2002 at 23:28Sureal
the tiny figure in the water at upper right looks other worldly I do agree with Wilfred though, the posted image is too small.

Gábor Havasi 17-Nov-2006 at 09:14Very retro
Looks as though this could have been shot 60 years ago. The tiny figure in the background is terrific. Nice work.
Robert Goldstein 01-May-2007 at 05:57belated congratulations
Somebody send Mr. Guimaraes a congratulatory email .... he posted this image in 2002 and hasn't visited the Contax G site in over a year.
Gregg Humphrey 01-May-2007 at 13:50Balance
This oblique composition is nicely balanced by the diving figure in the background. looks a tad like Cartier Bresson.
John Gaffney 24-May-2007 at 11:00Combination of great graphics, composition and the right moment. Very good!
Thomas Schorr 15-Sep-2007 at 16:28Excelente!
Rui Quaresma 24-Mar-2008 at 09:16something about this photograph! the fella there, relaxing, while the man in the background jumps in - caught it spot on, brilliant! Unforgettable! it's just simple f*cking CLASS A Top Bollocks mate! (mind the cockney talk please but it's the best way of lauding this one!)
