Buttercups - Drayton Cooper

These cheerful little flowers added a note of color to the barbed wire and faded wood of the fence where I found them.

A nice arrangement
I like the sweeping lines of the wood and wire and the placement of the flowers. The colors are very complementary. - Brad

see the buttercups as yeloow blobs without detail? I like the idea and the contrast, but without more definition in the flowers, it doesn't quite work. However, I cannot say why this has occurred.

Nice photo, perhaps if the scan resolution was higher, more detail could be seen in the flowers. A lot of detail gets lost on the smaller pixel scans. Robert

The buttercups do not look featureless to me, but I see a hint of more detail. Drayton, did you scan this at 348x576 or downsize a larger image? I bet a ...x800 pixel version would show a lot more detail. - Brad

I tried but STILL could not get any detail in the blossoms, to speak of. Took it on up to over 5mb and decided if I couldn't see it there, I'd never see it. Thanks for the encouragement but I think the fault is in the photography, not the scan.
