Artifacts
John, I like this image quite a bit, it has a good message and an interesting composition, but it is severely diminished in my eyes by the jpeg artifacts that really degrade the image quality. Strange that it is so rife with artifacts at 180k! What settings did you save it at?

This seemed a bit cluttered when I saw the thumbnail, but looking at it again, I really like the details in the image and the framing provided by the elbows and back ends of the authority figures. I agree, though, about the compression...did this end up slightly out of focus as well? Good eye...this was worth sharing regardless, but for such journalistic shots, a faster film is the way to go to freeze action more effectively and get around the inevitable camera shake.

I don't have a scanner so this was uploaded from a Photo CD. I believe this accounts for the compression. The print is virtually perfect.
