Palace of the Governors - Gary Eden

Indians selling handmade jewerly outside the Palace of the Governers in Santa Fe New Mexico. Typical tourist pic. I still find some of the indians do not like there picture taken.

Interesting details
I like the interaction between the buyer and seller. I would like to see this in a larger size, at least 800x... The knees in the right foreground are distracting and difficult to crop. A better shot might have been taken from two steps to the left. - Brad

I like the frames within frames. They're so well lined up. Good job. Interesting about the fear of being photographed.

This is a picture that doesn't quite have a subject. Is it the geometry of the building? That might work. How about the interaction between the vendor and buyer? You need to be closer if that's it. But if it's the framed frames, then the people add a lot of clutter. Pick a central element and focus on it; exclude everything else.

Being a New Mexican, this is a very familiar site to me. I've photographed simular scenes too many times to count. I carry alot of one dollar bills, for I find that a couple of bucks overcomes camera shyness in all but a very few cases. If you are interested in native Americans-check out the Gallop Inter-Tribal Ceremonies and/or the New Mexico State Fair in late September.
