Colorful, flat and abstract

Bradley, I initially thought there was too much foreground and no center of interest in this image outside of the colored light at dawn. But the flatness of this image makes it very interesting as a rural abstract. I do wish the sky had something of interest, but if your subject was the emptiness of the old farm, you did pretty well. The stark, greyscale quality of the decaying farm on the left is pretty notable -- might make a really interesting close-up.

Good

light in this one Bradley. Very peaceful. Maybe a little more space around the houses would have made it even more pleasent.

Composition

Thanks, guys. The foreground does not contribute much; the image improves when some if it is cropped. More space on the sides would help, particularly of the left, but there isn't anything I can do about that now. When I took the photo, I moved in to exclude distracting items in the foreground, not thinking that I could crop these later. - Brad
