POV
I think the point of view is from to high up. It would be more pleasing to me if this scene were viewed from the height of the childs head. Maybe a little lower too. Otherwise good exposure and the timing was perfect.

Anker, the exposure is quite remarkable--as those whisps of white-blond hair are well defined and exposed. I would like for the hands to be in focus--so that I might see the point of the childs interest--as indicated by the title and caption of the image.

Anker, I would think a camera position more directly over Annika's head might have worth exploring. I think the position of her right hand would have benefitted. It appears as though facial detail is not the goal here so the additional loss would be insignificant. Great exposure, was this auto metered? Also, this had to be difficult focusing I would think?

Thanks for the helpful comments, all. I was standing over her, with the 28mm lens. Autometered, though probably shot at one or two stops overexposed. This would account for the blacked out background, which was in shadow, whereas her blond hair was in direct sun. I autofocus everything, lock, then recompose. The wispy blond hairs really did come out remarkably sharp. Bruce, you are right, facial detail wasn't my aim. I was trying to shoot her a bit more untraditionally. Best, --Anker
