Hillside Tapestry - Robin Kleb

I guess these are all wild flowers. They all seem to be growing wild anyway.

nice one
the purple are lupines, the pink "balls" are Owl s Clover. Where was this taken?
Richard Sintchak 30-Apr-2002 at 23:28Appropriate title
The vertical repetition of the lipines and grasses really does give the effect of a woven tapestry.

Richard, I think it was called Crystal Ranch Rd (new road -- not on maps yet) on the right off of Ygnacio Valley Rd heading east, at the bottom of the hill after passing Cowel.

This photo looks much better when viewed at 800 vs. 600 pixels width.

I particularly like the effect of the topmost lupine(s) against the sky. I think this photo would have been strengthened by a sky of deeper blue. --Anker

Great colors. Nice subject. Very tranquil setting. A polarizer may have helped to darken the blue in the sky.

Robin the purple accents along the normally dry, brown--sun drenched hills is makes for fine scene. I am convinced a slower film would have rendered an even richer colour palette. :-) Or, at least that is my wishfull thinking.
