Stimulation. . .

Robin, I shoot many images 'like' these--seeking a documentary feel--but I never quite feel satisfied by my images of this ilk, later when I look at them--mine simply don't 'emote' emotion or stimulate a dialog. What is your goal? I am undecided if I can find a place to "hold on" with these images. Maybe I just don't feel attached to any particularly element in the image.

Not

bad at all Robin. I like this particular image in your "series" because of the two persons RH. Composition is good as well.

Peopled

Knut as you can see, I will have a hard time wiht our peopled images--;-) Robin, these images help me to get a feel for what I think I want to see in my images.

My goal?

Jerome, I don't think I have a goal! I just look around and see if anything looks good to me. :-) I guess I'm usually on the look-out for some kind of abstract design. That was the main plan here, originally, just to get pleasing shapes. I'm uncomfortable pointing the camera at people. It seems so intrusive. In this case, the man in the foreground just walked into the picture, a happy accident. There isn't really a center of interest here but I like how my eye moves around the picture, from the foreground man, into the coffee shop and then up the stairs to that other person.

Circuit. . .

Robin, hmmn, making the circuit through the image does tell a story--when my eye goes in a clockwise circuit. I've been looking at my coffee table book of Salgado too long, perhaps :-)
Thank you for telling me what you saw--and helping me to see your "goal."
