This really appeals to me. I like the twisted form and the texture of the branches. The strips in the background I don't care for but; maybe it would change the look too much if they were gone. I'd have cropped off a very small amount on the right so that the branches on both sides end up in the corners.

I like the idea of cropping the right side! Is it too late to change it or would that be cheating? Although on the other hand, while I don't like the strips in the background much either, there they were, and I thought maybe it was good to have that repetition of the darker one on the side. I wish it didn't fade out towards the top. I was afraid to try to change it and make it look all phoney though.

I would undtilt the image vertically and crop the RH side. It is not cheating as long as the deadline is not there yet.

Robin, your vision of E and I in colour is delightful. Hmmn, the highlight of the stucco wall makes the perfect contrasting element in this composition
