Fatherhood and Photography

Bruce, as you've probably seen, I've posted a few pix of my child lately as well. Since she was born (16 months ago) I've taken a great number of pictures. For the occassion of her first birthday, I digitally printed the best thirty and brought them to a bookbinder. Six copies of this were made; one of which I'll give to my daughter when she grows up, the rest for various family members. The book turned out quite well, with prints being as high quality as I could achieve, and the binding being very professional (clothbound hardcover with title) and costing about $80 each to produce (paper, ink and binding), plus lots of evenings of my time. I'm very glad to have been able to do this, and to give her something of my own making, that she can look back on one day. So, I very much enjoy this picture of yours. There is protectiveness and trust at play here. Great simplicity of elements, yet great complexity of emotion. Thanks for sharing this. --Anker
