Grand Central 03 - Joe Sasser

I borrowed a 28mm wide angle from a recent Contax convert friend, in the city. I gotta get me one of these! Another quickie scan though. Maybe I should hold off posting these until I can make a better scan in a couple of weeks?

Got potential
The framing is a bit off but, the image quality is quite nice. You could do a lot with PS to correct the framing but, why bother. Get yourself a G camera and just do it again. It took me quite a while to get used to framing with a rangefinder. I was lucky though; before I bought my G1 I had used a Contax II for 10 years and, so I had gotten used to controlling my frame with this type of camera. I really like the quality of light here.

It really is hard to go wrong with Tri-X, a 28mm Zeiss lens, and Grand Central Station. I like the commuters blurred as they are, conveying the come-and-go of this great room. I look forward to seeing the more careful scan, at something larger than 440x295. --Anker

everybdy. Mark, I own a G1, but don't have the 28mm yet. So that's what I borrowed to shoot it with. I only ave the 45m for now. I'll do a re scan as soon as I get settled back in after the move in a couple of weeks. Don't worry, it'll be bigger too : )

Lincoln. I'll try to draft something up but, writing is not my best talent. Joe, I work in midtown Manhatten. I almost always bring my camera to work. If you're in the area you're welcome to borrow my lenses any time. Your choice of the 21,28 and 90. Email me if your interested.
