I wouldn't have thought of placing the picture elements this way. Half is one element, and the other half is two elements. Great texture and color. Technically well done. If you're using a film scanner there's a trick I use that would work well here. Do another scan of the negative but darken the exposure to bring out the detail in the clouds. Now read into PS the new scan and copy it to the clip board. Read in the original file and increase the size of the canvas to allow you to paste in the new scan. Now you have both images on one canvas. Clone the sky from the new scan into the corresponding area of the original and, viola. Now you'll have a sky with lots of details in the clouds and no one will know. (Except us! shhh... )

Sky...

Mark, what grand suggestions. I, see now I need to spend more time in my pouring over a Photoshop how-to-manual :-) A richer sky would give this pic substantial more appeal. Duh! Keep the suggestions rolling...

Nice

texture in this one Jerome. Stone from the Kings castle, eh? Excellent DOF, but as Mark suggested you might want to fill the sky. I like the rough handling of the composition. Maybe you are a candidate for the weird forum, I noticed that Linc is already a captain.

Ahoy, Capt'n. . .

Yes, I'm rescanning the dia, in the next days---and trying Mark's suggestion. If Linc is a Captain, then this had better be the Navy, not the Army... I like sleeping indoors--on a firm bed, not a rock. :-)

Spoken for

I have had a word with the underboss, and we are discussing if you have the qualites for becoming the second sargent in the Army of the Weird Wizards (AWW). I think so with all your solemn shooting. I expect to hear from the underboss anytime now. Don't they have captains in the army any more?

Capt'n AWW. . .

Linc, well as you know at least on a seaborne bunk--you can roll away and back--enough to warrant shooting horizons which go AWW ;-) And, Knut, put in a good word for me--but it has to be Naval!!! You know, its a bias--a status thing, and we Americans--live for our STATUS :-) You know those pic are just me reliving my darker fantasies about.... [ ... ] maybe I've spent too much time at the Friedhof. :-) PUN INTENDED

I seems

that your suggestion to remove the minilith from the Sarge's image really set you back. The decition is that you for the time being is to be title Jerome,WE, (Weird Ensign) with the right to choose any bed of your own choice. I can't set aside the advise from a naval elder. But we will follow you closely, IMO, you have great potential :-)
