Well, this one's also excellent. Your images have a very professional look. I guess you already work for Magnum or NG?
Wilfred van der Vegte 16-Mar-2002 at 13:37Splendid
Not much I can say about this, except that it would be nice to have some more detail in the shadows, although I guess the light and intended effect has been achieved!

is very good. To my eye it's a bit too contrasty and maybe over sharpened. Quite good though.
Kevin Conville 16-Mar-2002 at 20:16Linc, ...
In this one I think the tilt is obvious and functional. It's just the unintended slight tilt as a result of careless picture taking or indifference when it comes to correcting it afterwards (which is always very easy to do). Some people even manage to have a tilted horizon in images taken with the help of a tripod ... :-)
Wilfred van der Vegte 17-Mar-2002 at 23:12Identify. . .
Tyler, principally, I find the image attractive--I am though irritated by the abundance of light, but lack of details at the left side of the cart driver's face in combination with the well lit planking just behind his head , leading into the left lower quad of the frame. Did you purposely obscure most of his identify while printing?

The limming is great.

Three cheers for Tyler!
MARK MILLEN 23-Mar-2002 at 08:52A real photograph
This is really, really good. So good, that it points out to me that with the right composition, the technical qualities of the shot become less relevant. Some of the great photos of the 20th century have these qualities; sharp contrast, loss of detail in the shadows, etc... They are great not because they are technically perfect, but because they communicate something in a beautiful way. Leave the technical nitpicking to lesser photographs. Admire this for what it is. --Anker
Anker Heegaard 12-Jun-2002 at 18:43Love the light
and the high-wide PoV. I'm not bothered by the details of contrast or shawdows, although I would like to be able to see the small figures/dogs ahead of the cart better. The "into the light" feel of the scene is magnificent. Great use of the 21mm lens!
