Brilliant!

Incredible detail and tonality. Where is this heavenly paradise? Did you use any filters for the clouds? Any special techniques? How did you capture the magic? Great shot.

Beautiful Ib. I guess this is from the same visit as the colour shot (or did you go back? :-) Great light, and a great conversion - did you have to dodge and burn this? If so I'd say that you're getting very good at it... BTW did you get the railway up, or did you walk? I see that you didn't bother taking a tripod :-)

Dramatic, gorgeous scenery...

...well captured by your camera and great tones and conversion. Really outstanding. Not being a great fan of landscape photography, I really get moved by this sort of b/w scenes. My only little regret, the size....I wish it was a bit smaller, as I'm unable to see the complete pic in my 13'' mac laptop. In full screen it is impressive, though. Cheers.

Berry , berry nice!

Ibbs, I like the conversion- it really brings out the cloud reflectioin on the lakes! Linc

Guys, thanks so much for the encouragement, and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Feliz Navidad! Max, it was taken last summer in Snowdonia National Park in North Wales, from just below the summit of Mt Snowdon. I didn't use any filters or anything, just f8 and shoot. Peter, cheers man, I did some burning in of the clouds, and dodging the lakes to make them lighter. I walked up! 5 miles from Llanberis to Snowdon along the main trail, and then another 10 miles back using the Snowdon Rangers path - where we managed to get lost, took a dip and drank from spring filled deserted lakes and managed to climb another mountain en route!! Baltasar, thanks my friend, you encourage me a great deal! I know you're not a fan of traditional landscapes and Im beginning to see your point of view, but I'm glad you like BW scenes! Linc, I agree! thanks for the K25 mate!

Nice tonality. Ominous sky makes the image.

Brilliant

Excellent landscape. Love the tonality as well as the clouds. Especially the cloud mirroring in the lakes are great.
