utterly superb tones and contrast.
Ibbi 07-Jun-2010 at 14:15Oh la la! Really superb! Congratulations :) Ibbi, you have to go back to shoot your [The Shrine|http://contaxg.com/document.php?id=35786] with a stock of Scala and your red filter ;) One default of this film is its price, though (not only the film by itself, but its processing also...), all that's bloody expensive :( I have one and only one in my fridge for years, and I didn't dare to use it yet... too precious ;)
Fred 07-Jun-2010 at 16:02Linc has been talking to me about scala type films - I'm sure he'll comment soon. I have to admit, the tones are mind blowing! I'd love to try it, but who knows..
Ibbi 08-Jun-2010 at 13:09Ibraar and Frederic, thank you again for the compliments! I am glad you like the photos, and also to raise some interest in Scala. So far, of all films used, I liked Agfa Scala and APX 100 most. Yes, Scala is expensive. The again, how much is a few slides of photo with unique quality worth, especially when viewed with a slide projector? Mind you, though, that the Scala scans & pp were done quickly and without anything fancy. Scala is supposed to be difficult to scan...I yet need to look at the slides with a projector to compare. So far, so good! Won't be my last roll. Cheers, Peter S

I just viewed a few of the Scala slides on a Pradovit. Quite the sight! For selected landscape shots I will continue to use it. That said, I feel the Epson 4990 in combination with Silver Efex pro did a nice job bringing Scala on the screen.
