COLOR!
Wow, you've got some fantastic color in this picture. Nice framing and clouds. Congratulations.

Although I think the subject could have perhaps been better placed than dead center, especially against the cloud pattern like that, one cannot deny the WOW! factor of looking at this image. Fantastic colors, perfect exposure. And I will say it's MUCH better than if you had no tree and only the sunset.

Bryan, despite the centered, prime, subject--you've handily managed to render the essential hues of this scene, marvelously.

I think the composition is great. I've not heard of that film you've used.. but it certainly worked here!

Kodak Elite Chrome Extra Color. It's best described as a Kodak consumer version of Velvia. It's a good film. I've used it a few times and like it. At least I like it better than "crayola-chrome" (Kodak E100VS).

I bought the film as a cheap slide film to run a focus test on my G1. Had some frames left at the end & the sunset looked promising. While I'm happy with the results I would normally shoot this on E100s. I agree with Richard, VS would have been far too saturated for this scene, the sunset was vivid enough.
