Impressive,

I knew you would come back with some 'killer' images! :-) From the reflection in her eyes I can see that you are standing in front of a door or window. It's hard to understand dof. Even wide open, it's difficult to get such a shallow dof with the 45mm. The top of her headress seems slightly oof, but her lips eyes and part of her necklace seem to be very sharp. Good choice of background , since it isolates her striking countenance and colorful dress. Those eyes speak sadness to me. Linc

Thanks my friends - I got this shot in the doorway of her house - high on a mountain slope - there does seem to be sadness - as her people - all in all only 2500 left in the world, and a dying religion and culture - besieged on all sides by Muslims - though thankfully their neighbours show a LOT of mutual respect and tolerance these days, and the Pakistani government is doing its utmost, along with NGO's and World Heritage to encourage and promote their culture and show them respect. Kalash people are herders and farmers and bee keepers and lovely amazing people who I am proud to have stayed with for a few days.

Linc, its quite easy to get shallow DoF with the 45 - just get quite close enough and shot wide open or at f2.8 - f2.8 is best on this lens - though f2 aint fare behind.
