Beautiful image. Great detail, even in the shadows. Nice sense of texture, composition and wonderful atmosphere. Can you tell us which film you used?

sf.

Very moody. Usually the pictures of sunflowers radiate peace, but this image is almost threatening. I wonder if there is any more detail to bring in the shadows? Great job. PK.

Armen

Good one. I like the drama here.

This is Kodak profoto400 BW, I used an orange filter to bring out the pestels. In the shadows there are not much details because of huge lightning difference Armen

Wonderful composition

I didn't find it threatening-but perhaps it is because I am too much of an optimist. Excellent use of creative DOF. Linc

This is a great one

Nice composition with a very dramatic atmosphere. It's very impressive to take a usual theme and make it memorable.

Armen, the lighting here is quite good. Did you reflect some light back into the flowers? I just noticed that the dramatic light is coming from behind the foreground.

Chris Wang     20-Aug-2008 at 17:51

No, I think this is a result of use the orange filter Armen
