GWB East tower - MARK MILLEN

I took this image about a month ago. I walk across the George Washington Bridge once in a while. On this trip I was using my recently aquired 21mm Biogon. This was my third trip walking across the bridge since 9/11. Each time I took many photos. This time I came under the scrutiny of the authorities. I was escorted off the bridge by 4 police cruisers and 6 national guard troops with automatic weapons. I was given a stern warning not to photograph the bridge again.

What a story
This is one of the more interesting stories associated with an image posted on the site. At least the experience yielded a great shot!

Wonderful image!
Karl Winkler 26-Jan-2002 at 08:46Good composition.
and, BTW, this image is considerably sharper than your other postings, that is, except for the out-of-focus cables at the bottom left ...
