Lake Kachess, Washington State. - Peter Kapa

During the summer the melting snows in Cascade Mountains fill the lakes with a flood of water. In the morning the usual wind in The Cascades is fairly subdued.

Beautiful landscape,
But a little static with the center on center composition. :-) Linc
Linc 09-Feb-2008 at 12:54I'm not usually a fan of dead center positioning but the light wins out here.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'the light wins out here'. I would agree that some rules are made to be broken(1/3 to 2/3's comp). I personally think the composition is improved by cropping some of the left and basically moving the tree to the left. This would retain the lovely sky and water reflected light in a square format. My original comment was that the tree is centered in both vertical and horizontal . Diff' strokes , as they say-just one photographers opinion. Linc
