A Tuscan hill-town famous for a great Renaissance battle, with a casualty list of only 1 (injured when he fell off his horse) despite nearly 24 hours of skirmishing. Also famous for the 'lost Leonardo' that depicted the Battle.

I had the fortune to spend a week here, as my brother was playing in a music festival - this scene played host to the Mendelssohn octet one evening, if you can imagine the musicians in front of the arch, and the walls, steps and balconies lined with people...
