How haunting!
Excellent work, sir!

I like it you did well to hand hold this shot and not get any camera shake....nice one. It would have been a good shot for the movement competition.
Ian James 09-Nov-2007 at 11:10Very nice title
and excellent photograph. I like how the curved flash on the window and the smooth metal convey a sense of "warping" and of speed. The "ghostly" person inside the car adds much to the image as well!
Jarett Baker 09-Nov-2007 at 11:33Thank you...
Roger, Ian and Jarrett! Your comments are much appreciated. I love the metro stations in LA (pity I don't live there anymore) and had a couple of nice afternoons making photographs and riding the trains. It's a bit of a surprise that nobody really questioned me while I was doing this... not that they had any reason to but such are the times we live in. I have wondered several times about the "ghost"-like person in the car, Jarrett... I wish that I had gotten a look at him after I made that exposure... but now I am just left to make up stories. Not a terribly bad deal ;) Nikhil
Nikhil Sarma 10-Nov-2007 at 00:46Brilliant photo, the curved flash of the train, and her 'step back' body language gives it a sense of movement and drama
Ibbi 10-Nov-2007 at 02:27and this should've been eneterd in the competition
Ibbi 10-Nov-2007 at 02:27Agreed
Very nice shot, with lots of elements working together in making it effective. Plus a Pink Floyd reference--what could be better? Rick
Rick Dreher 10-Nov-2007 at 12:17I really like the convergent lines here. The shiny curve provides interesting relief. Really peculiar expression on the woman's face.
