Luca?
What is that Velvia 50 II? Are they going back to the real thing? By the way, I have not clue what 'Father and Son' mens. Linc

wellcome back! "Velvia 50 II" means the new Velvia 50 version of Fuji, with the new colour couplers. It was placed in the market few weeks ago, at least here in Europe. (Yes, it strikes back again!) Concernong "father and son", it was only a personal mental excursion on different sizes of the trees. Cheers. Luca.
Luca Valisari 06-Jul-2007 at 19:01Ah, I see,
Thanks for the 'welcome back' Luca, I will have to check the Fuji site to see if there is any word on 50 II. The old Velvia 50 was especially good with greens, but it looks like this version does fine on other colors as well. Do the italian people have so much time to paint their houses these bright colors? :-) Linc
Linc 07-Jul-2007 at 02:01Burano
is the place of such crazy coloured hoses. I've been wondering about the reason of time and money spent to paint houses these way for a long time. Nobody gave me an answer but, taking into consideration the quantity of peolple visiting the little isle and pleasure looking at such "clashing" colors, a possible reason is arising in my mind... Cheers. Luca.
Luca Valisari 07-Jul-2007 at 05:22Sto seguendo le tue incursioni a Burano. :-)
Maurizio Nicosia 09-Jul-2007 at 09:26True,
but somehow it is precisely the strong colours, even on the houses, that makes this image :-).
Knut Skjærven 09-Jul-2007 at 11:00Maurizio
Luca.

Maurizio, as you know, beside a great photographer is also a History of Art teacher, with an huge humanity. He did not cricticize only the shot but, since he knows (as I told you) I need to learn, was teaching me something... and I'm happy of that, same way I'm happy when you, and any other great photographer of this ite, can teach me something. By the way... thanks for your comment Knut. Italy is looking forward for your "eye"... :-) Best wishes. Luca.

Thanks, and congratulations with the 21 mm. It is a great lens, and much easier to use than the 16 mm. So, you are attending the Summit in Russia then :-). Good luck with it. Best wishes Knut
Knut Skjærven 09-Jul-2007 at 13:32No, Luca, mi sono spiegato male. Mi riferivo non alle tue foto, ma al soggetto in sé, molto "battuto". Tu fai benissimo a "batterlo" ancora. :-)
Maurizio Nicosia 09-Jul-2007 at 14:26Knut...
"but somehow it is precisely the strong colours, even on the houses, that makes this image :-)." I speak about -tones, Knut. That colours will be still strong, but not so acids... :-)

I guess my google translation of Italian is not precise enough to catch all the nuances of your beautiful language:-). Thanks for correcting me. Best wishes Knut

Congratulation, Luca. You finally made it to the HOF :-). Well deserved it is. This is then you ticket to go to Berlin in June :-). Cheers Knut
Knut Skjærven 01-Apr-2008 at 09:26Hi Knut
it is a long time since we did hear by this site.... I really do not know if I deserve HOF, I think that here there are so many people who are extraordinary photographers, who deserve it more than me. Anyway I'm happy of this... As you know I changed my job and I have not so much time to shoot and to partecipate to this wonderful site. I'm sad of that ... :-( Concerning Berlin you know that I'd like to partecipate to the meeting very much, but the same time I can't assure you anything... New job, many engagements... To be there it would be really fantastic! I'll do my best, and I'll keep you informed about this. On the other side, this summer probably I'll met Linc in Las Cruces, since I'm going to visit West US (for sure I'll drive down to White Sands National Monument...). It will be a G's US meeting, anyway, just to celebrate this very special community... All my best wishes. Amico mio. Luca.
Luca Valisari 01-Apr-2008 at 12:14Luca
thanks. Then you and Linc must have a little G Summit in White Sands :-). What dates will it be? Be careful with Linc. He is a real killer :-). I am around, but as you know winther shooting in Scandinavia is not that "illuminating" for body and soul. I work on this one in stead :-). http://barebonescommunication.wordpress.com/ Good work Luca. Cheers Knut
Knut Skjærven 01-Apr-2008 at 13:05Nice blog
Knut! Now I know more about you... The date time of meeting with Linc has not been scheduled jet, but I think it will be around the 15th of August (I'll be in the US since the 1st up to the 25th of August). I know he's a skilled bowhunte but, anyway, I'm wondering about how great would it be to visit White Sands with him (GPS "undiscovered" by human eye points have been marked on te map...:-)). Cheers. Luca.
Luca Valisari 01-Apr-2008 at 14:39Mucho Gusto!
Well, good for you, Luca. Don't be so humble, this is a very good image and the praise is well deserved. You are one of the true 'soldiers' of the list and should get some recognition. Well, I am looking forward to your visit. Don't worry , I am a killer but I will only kill you with kindness. :-) My friend sez the bottom of the Grand Canyon is very hot in August , so we will have to make our plans accordingly. We will have to make Knut jealous so that he 'must' come visit too. :=) Now there would be a competition!! Knut and I battling it out on my own turf!!. Ha! But I am dreaming..... :=) Make your plans my friend, we will have a good time and show the list some good images! Linc
Linc 01-Apr-2008 at 20:09Thanks
for your kind words Linc. I'm still planning my tour but the sequence should be:Las vegas - Grand Canyon - Brice Canyon - White Sands and then back to Vegas, starting from the 4th or the 5th of August. Antway we'll keep in touch with our personal mail. Looing forward for the West US G Summit (maybe with Knut...). Cheers friend. Luca.
