Florida Dry - Mary Alice

This pond was very dry in April..and getting worse into May.. Floida is a tinderbox for the fires..there will be no habitats for the beautiful Florida Birds...

Florida Dry looks wet :-)

Mary Alice, I think the water adds to your last Florida image. :-) To me, the reflected part of an image adds drama and interest. My suggestion would be to find exposures that do not go to the extremes of a films range. A really bright sky and darker foliage areas may be trying the limits of the recording film. You have given priority to the foreground exposure(which I would do) but , if there were anything interesting going on in the sky, it would be lost. For me, the solution would be to (possibly) eliminate the sky.... possibly :-) Linc

Sky

Linc, I totally agree with you. I went back and looked at he images I took that day...On most of them, I had cropped out the "white" dull sky..I should have taken out a lot more of this one for a better image..I tried it every way and eliminating most of it seemes to work best...thank you..MA
