Cuba Club Las Vegas - Jack Kurtz

One of a series of photos I made during a visit to Havana, Cuba, last year. The Club Las Vegas is a tiny night spot in central Havana, sort of a poor man's Tropicana. It's popular with tourists and Cubans alike. I used a beer bottle to steady the camera for what was a very long exposure (around 1/8 of a second). G2, 28mm lens, Ektachrome 100 VS exposure unrecorded.

I really like this photo...
I think it is well composed, and I think the light is hitting all of the right people in the right places...the strongest light being on the dancer in focus (I love exactly where the out-of-focus dancer's placement is, along with the section of body that was captured.) Additional "gifts"...the light on the man's face sitting way to the left, and that he is perhaps wearing glasses (can't tell) to further draw attention his way.
