Curious

Hi Baltasar, very nice ideea indeed. There is one thing which I don't quite get it. The girl is sharp, very sharp actually. The cat is again in acceptable sharpness, yet the chair (?) between them is quite blurred. Is it a composite of two images, or is there something here which I'm missing? Thanks, cheers!

Costin,..

..first of all, thank you very much for your generous rating. Now, to answer your question: the girl is holding a 100x70 cm framed enlargement of a picture actually already posted in these Contaxg pages. You can turn to 1d=18886 and check the original. In that picture of the cat, the chair was already out of focus, as I had used a big lens aperture. The blow-up is not, therefore as sharp as the girl is. I hope I have answered your curiosity. Should you have further questions, please, feel free to ask. Thanks again. Cheers from northern Spain.

brilliant

Baltasar, this striking image confirms it, you are without a doubt one of the most creative photogs on this site. Keep it up!

astounded!

I had the same inquiry like Costin about the photo. After reading your explantion, I am absolutely amazed by the idea and the composition of this shot. Really very, very well done!

Thank you, too,...

..Susie and Gregg for your generosity and encouraging comments. Sometimes simple ideas develop into nice, rewarding results. Cheers.

Baltasar

I have to ditto Gregg. I have just looked over your folder, and find it very cleverly done and with a great sense of humour. Great work indeed.

What an Idea ...

The image is absolutely great this image is like a magnet: the eye of the observer go like a magnetic field from the north and south poles. From the eye of the cat to the eye of the woman. However this magnetic field is distorted by two elements: the chair and the lines that are one too high and the other two low on the image.

I like

this shot. You seem to go for the extraordinary. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn't. This one works well enough for me. Best wishes, Keith.
