Glacier du Géant (2) - Jean-Christian

Backcountry skiing in the middle of the Glacier du Géant, some 3300 meters high.
Another parallax test for the Biogon's external viewfinder. The 21mm Biogon closed at f/11 to f/16 delivers good results with the sun; so does the 35mm Planar (thanks to their 7-bladed diaphragm, I think).

This is good. Ideal exposure it seems. Did you make multiple exposures to hedge your bet?
Kevin Conville 26-Mar-2005 at 09:30excellent
the exposure looks right on, like Kevin asked, did you bracket ?
Gregg Humphrey 26-Mar-2005 at 14:48I must love taking risks.
Believe it or not, I didn't bracket (silly me !! I would have missed that nice image if I had misjudged the exposure). I remember having "explored" the different icy zones while reading the speed and finally decided to expose as if the sun was not on the frame - that is to say, moving right, setting AEL and then reframing with the sun on the glacier's edge.

Beautiful! Any chance you'll re-post his without the watermarks?
James Castellini 11-Nov-2006 at 23:29Reward + Repost
Hi, Nice to see my work rewarded ! I've reposted the pic in full size and without watermark but it disappeared from the HoF 2006 folder. Anybody knowing who can fix this ? Thanks
Jean-Christian 16-Nov-2006 at 09:17Congratulations!
Well deserved!
Gregg Humphrey 05-Dec-2006 at 21:12Biogon shines
The Biogon's excellent control of flare really helps here. Zeiss could use this shot as an advertisement.
