Walled Garden, Burano, Venice - Tony Gradwell
The island of Burano is at the north end of the Venice lagoon. Most photographers concentrate on the famous vibrant colours of the houses. I chose a corner of a secluded park and used Kodak mono IR to contrast the deciduous (white) with the coniferous (dark) leaves under the intense Mediterranean sunshine. Unfortunately my cheap scanner doesn't do the picture justice and the resolution of the foliage has been lost.
