Absolutely superb

This is about as good as photography gets. Easily a 10 in my book.

BTW

The whole series is fabulous. Suggest you use it for your portfolio when you apply to National Geographic.

details & contrast.

I have to agree with M. Campbell, this is as good as it gets. The G-90 mm is the probably one of the best lens that CONTAX ever made. This doesn't take any merit of your fantastic picture.

The position of the hands jsut make the photo

the hands serve as a strong point to drive home the emotional thought that I get from the image. Without the hands it would be a "nice" photo. With them, it's very good.

Just wonderful

Everything is just perfect. I agree with Glen. Gary

fab light

and fab control of it. Agreed about the lens and the use you have put it to.

I'm just back from Tibet and if any of my shots are as great as this I'll be really pleased! My favourite of the series.

Yes, great shot, great subject. Let me add one small point of criticism: the bottom part is rather uninteresting and there seems to be a bit of lens flare. I would crop just below the end of the ribbon.

you are right.

Lighting

Your lighting is much better on this one. Good subject. Nice framing but would crop off the bottom. Tom Burke

i really cannot help but cry for joy when viewing a magnificent image as this. the crispnes, the touch of backlighting, the wonderful texture on the entire subject and the bokeh all seems to come together for an outright winner. Welcome to the HOF!

Cropping?

This is a wonderful subject. I have tried several scroll crops and cannot find a crop of the apron I like. If any cropping were done I think it should be square(just below the fur sleeve). However, bokeh and light areas of the background help to give this image it's dimension and that would probably be detrimental. Also, a certain loss of contrast about the face is probably due to some lens flare that Wilfred has pointed out. Of course these are just nitpicks to an otherwise fine image. Congratulations! Linc
