Luggage? - Vish Vishvanath

Early Morning on a Rajasthani train platform. This shot was taken from a slowly-moving train opposite. As we approached the station, I looked out the window, saw this scene (from the opposite angle) and sprinted to the door of the carriage. Enjoy this picture!

Vish, Outstanding photography! Truly personifies the term "painting with light." And that's what photography is all about. Congratulations.
Alan Ehrlich 21-May-2001 at 17:13Great and grabbed?!
Lovely composition, great story and grabbed from a moving train! Exemplary shooting Vish and a deserved winner of Glen's choice.

Your shot is more than adequate for winner, and you were more than lucky - you was prepared and fast! This counts, too...

Vish ... this is probably my favourite shot too of all the shots on the site. Apart from the composition, dof, texture, film choice what I particularly enjoy here is that this is a Low Key Documentary, in other words a straight shot. These shots comes seldom. Worst of all you can't prepare for most of them. They come by chance. Once again, congratulations. Glen you did the only right thing. Knut
