An attempt to ski down the Galdhopiggen's steep south couloirs, but the snow was too icy at that time. My fellow Olivier made two turns and then decided to climb back...

You

are a very good ambassador for Norway. Thanks :-).

safe?

Spectacular image, indeed. But I wonder: Did you concider the avalanche hazard in this area? As a native Norwegian, I'm too familiar with foreigners who underestimate how dangerous the mountain areas can be in the winter.

Worried ?

You're quite right, Ivar : anybody has to be modest when attempting a summit. Though, I also think we are serious and experimented guys, since we decided to descend the normal route. As you can see if you check www.jeanheintz.com I am used to mountaineering in the Alps, and it was my second trip to Norway.

reassured!

A very reassuring answer. I'm not worried anymore. It was certainly not my intention to question your mountaineering skills or experience. I hope you had a pleasant journey in Norway and was able to bring back a lot of nice images, both on film and in your mind.
