Spectacular image, indeed. But I wonder: Did you concider the avalanche hazard in this area? As a native Norwegian, I'm too familiar with foreigners who underestimate how dangerous the mountain areas can be in the winter.

You're quite right, Ivar : anybody has to be modest when attempting a summit. Though, I also think we are serious and experimented guys, since we decided to descend the normal route. As you can see if you check www.jeanheintz.com I am used to mountaineering in the Alps, and it was my second trip to Norway.

A very reassuring answer. I'm not worried anymore. It was certainly not my intention to question your mountaineering skills or experience. I hope you had a pleasant journey in Norway and was able to bring back a lot of nice images, both on film and in your mind.
