Half and half
Was the timing deliberate? What did she say or you say that was so funny? Whatever happened, the result is a photo that has an irredeemable imbalance for me, which is acceptuated by the left hand figure being less in focus and less well exposed. Chop it in half and the right hand portrait would be a stunner.

Scott this is a wondrful double portrait! I find no imbalance, just two sides of a coin which gives the moment an incredible amount of energy and power.

looks good to me, i agree with Gregg on this one, but i do sorta wish the space between the faces was less (there's more empty space in the middle than on the edges). Also, since i'm nit-picking, i would like to see a little more tonality in the right face. Overall, i like it.
