Mike's Folley - Linc

The dunes march on, blowing away most creature signs, but it is interesting to catch part of the days travel of a coyote. The change of the tracks from light impressions to leaf filled depressions makes this image unique for me.

| Adjustment: | Normal PS workup with some special attention to the upper left dune area. I made an effort to save the blown out hightlights. Convert to grayscale via channel mixer. Probably 30red, 60green & 10blue. Contrast is very touchy on these conversions and I find that I have to be very careful when adding or subtracting contrast. |

Mike?
Okay, I don't follow the title. Given how much time is spent in these sands, I wonder if there are riskier, more interesting views.

This is just a lighthearted naming for Mike Wing since he requested a dune shot were the beasts footprints dissappear as if snatched up by an alien. :-) Linc

To have a folly named after me.... what an honour!

I really like the texture and simplicity of this image. Scott

this one. When it was first posted, I wanted to express my appreciation for the detailed explanation of your conversion to greyscale. Very helpful. Regardig the blown heighlight in the upper left, I thought once gone from transparency film, they could not be recovered.
