Boy, St. Petersburg sure looks empty! At least at night. This is very carefully composed- perfect geometry. Of course, superb exposure and post processing. Another great one!

Another excellent night citiscape. Congrats!

Ludwig Argüelles     08-Dec-2003 at 12:38

Excellent overall, but I wish it did not have so many highlight areas

There's just so much highlight area that you would think it was in the daytime it it were not for the street lamp. I'd liked this better if it were darker to better portray the fact that it was a night. Of course, I'd be thrilled if my work was this good.

Bob Michaels has a point . . .

It is, again, a superb shot, beautifully composed, but Bob is right in suggesting that it might be even more effective if it were a little darker. The quality of Mikhail's black and white photographs is consistently stunning, compositionally superb with a wry sense of geometry, plus lovely exposures and contrast.
