It would have been even better, IMHO, if you could have stuck on a dark red filter and a polariser to get the sky black. A homage to Monolith, the face of Half Dome if you will.

Actually, I like the sky as it is. And the clouds have that feeling of "brilliance" that is definitely part of the NM sky. My only suggestion would be to very slightly lighten the upper mid tones to bring out further the texture in the dirt and in the shadows in the foreground. Otherwise, I like this shot quite a bit.
