Louis...Chief Dumisani Zulu's whimsical smile--perfectly illuminates the darker edge of this image--the profile portrait speaks volumes to me. This image is exceptionally pleasing to my eye.

(Okay, this photo has been around here for a while now, BUT...)
Like Jerome I too was struck by the Chief's profile -- a savvy use of backlight (back to him, side to you) to ENHANCE his features -- pretty cool.
This was cropped-in a fair bit, no?

l live in a country full of anglo convicts (oz) rarely do l see subjecta like this, except the aboriginal natives who are 4000 km away in the outback..l got to get out there more.. great shot/great subject
