a walk on the beach - mark herring

Taken in wales, this was a beach that we could drive our cars on to, the sand was very hard and this was taken about a 100 yards from my car. The sea was on your right and the land on your left, i had taken lot of shots of this but i liked that the man and boy where in the centre of the frame. with this shot i completely ignored the rule of thirds.

Rule of thirds?

To the contrary, your horizon provides the thirds compliance. Your distant people are off center from the horizontal. Their location at the center of the verticle merely emphasizes their solitude.

Rule of thirds?

Actually Mark, what I find so intriguing about this is how the composition of the foreground draws your eye into the picture and directly to the subjects. Great job!
