El viejo faro (Detail) - FraM

This portion of the negative has been scanned with a Minolta Elite using maximum 2820 dpi resolution and then resampled a little to fit 900x714. You can see the crack in the glass and the eye of the fish.

Yes it is sharp!
Now you provided a scan at which the sharpness of the objective may be limiting. I would really say "may" since resolution is now about 0.013 mm/pixel assuming that the first picture represents a scan of the full picture rather than a clipped version. That means that the present scan may, theoretically, show detail at a resolution of up to 38 lp/mm. Showing well-contrasted detail at this resolution is already a tough job for the objective. Since your photo now shows well-separated detail within 3-4 Pixels, I would now agree with your conclusion: your image is pretty sharp and contrasty in the range of 20 lp/mm. This is a good example, but, to my knowledge, still not the limit of the resolution of these fine lenses.
