brilliant composition
unusual and very effective, only not so crazy about the printed text on the image itself ... on the other hand, maybe it works

Yes, defintiely unusual and effective. But I too do not like this style text on the image. The yway the image is composed I almost feel like lines of vertical Chinese or Japanese text would look very nice starting from the left. It would beautifully resemble a scroll painting then!

As others have commented, the composition is superb, coupled with the range of pale tones in the blue, the darkness of the green tones and the horizontal shape to the photo. I like the idea of including some text, certainly you might if this was being prepared for commercial use. The problem with the text is that I think you have used a TNR or other common serif font which also appears unsharp on my screen. try other fonts, particularly cleaner ones (Arial or Lucinda Unicode are good starting points). I like Richard's idea about a Japanese scroll effect and you could experiment with vertical placing of the text. Also change the spacing and try to avoid the shadow-like effect that may be adding to the unsharpness.
