On Parade - Mal Grant

The Mall, 4 June 2002. A quite period during the Jubilee celebrations and wanted to capture the buzz from the crowd. Not sure if it works?

and I mean that in a good way. Quite a striking image, goes well with "that road" and Robin's potatowraith. What exactly is the Cokin "Super Speed"

This is a clear plastic filter which has a convex front covering half of it, tapering from 1cm to a couple of mm. It is supposed to be used to give the effect movement on stationary objects as if you were panning the camera, or your camera is half in/out of water. By sliding the filter across the lens you can vary the degree of blur. This is of course supposed to be used with an SLR so you can see the effect. Here I had the convex part completely covering the lens. I hope it's a bit clearer as to what I used. I'm glad it's created some interest.
