Bike Week Daytona Beach - #1 - Bob Michaels

Bike Week in Daytona Beach FL is a two week festival of Harley Davidson's, sun, flesh, beer and tattoos. The old hard core "bikers" are slowly being replaced by yuppies who don the garb and ride Harley's on the weekend. I'll post some old time "biker babes" later but this first image is a weekend poser (no tattoos). She's probably a lawyer or something during the week. She was riding on the back of a chopper but the guy only had tattoos and body piercings where they wouldn't show when dressed for work. It is a very congenial crowd with most people very happy to pose for you.

Hey Bob, great subject.

Too bad you couln't get her to pose without such a busy background.

I'm sorry

but that's just NOT practical motorcycle apparel! Good thing they (probably) unloaded their bike from a trailer half a mile away. They won't get soiled on the ride back.

Biker wanna be

Except during the heaviest rain this week, Main street doesn't have an un busy background. The best you can hopr for is to take a tele shot that eliminates everything but a thin slice of focus--but then someone will walk or ride in front of you. Good Shooting this week, Bob.
