Beautiful!

I'm amazed this shot hasn't got any comments here! The metallic sheen and the perfect exposure...WOW! You can always find objects to shoot wherever you go. All you need is the eye for it:)

Title

Lennie, the title is as clever as the image capture! I am happy I stopped by the list to read the lastest comments, or I would have missed this great black and white image--the tonal range is examplary; Please give us more details in a commet concerningyour technique of exposure, scan, etc. . . :-) Wonderful Image--a mundane object elevated to art.

Thanks

Jerome thanks for your kind words. I wish that all my shots came out as well as this one did. I now know why everyone raves about the 45mm. lens. I t was Tri X at 200 iso, Microdol X 1 plus 3 @ 24 degrees. Believe it or not was scanned on a $60 flat bed Paperport Scanner at 300 dpi. The original print is on some cheap paper that I bought on eBAY , called Vesta Multi Contrast Cold Tone.( $10 for 100 sheets of 8 x10 ) By the way if you enlarge the image there is a reflection of a kids face on the right hand side of the print about 2 inches down from the corner.

Nice shot - I agree. But I'm a bit puzzled by the size of the image you appear to have posted: 30735 x 49617 pixels. Makes me reluctant to click on the image for viewing at full size. How long did it take you to upload this?
