Ironworks - Gary Eden
An old adobe brick shack that was in the back of a horse stable. It was taken about 7:30am so I was getting some early light coming though some trees.

.
Nice image. I like this composition. The angle of the sun created a good effect of contrast. Thr dark area on the left central edge and also on the right edge are the only distracting elements for me.
MARK MILLEN 15-Jul-2003 at 06:52I see it too Mark now that you pointed it out. I don't know if croping would help the image a little more or not. I know the light coming though some trees on the left of me casted these shadows. Maybe if I print this sometime I can have these areas brought out a little. Thanks. Gary
Gary Eden 15-Jul-2003 at 08:31Well mannered. . .
Gary there are many appealing elements in this scene. The stark sharpness of the edges of each of them, too, appeals to me.

Jerome and Linc. Linc, I used Agfa APX 100 b&w. I always forget the name of their b&w film. I've had some good results with it but right now I got Ilford Delta 100 loaded I'm going to try. I see about the sign. I can't read the small letters but Ironwork seems OK on my screen. The top of the sign I have no idea. Looks like someone blotched it out. Yeah, I'm looking forward to coming down to visit. It's going to be fun. Gary
